MASTERING THE VOICE CLOSING CONCERT

The MPO returns to Gozo to perform the Closing Concert of Mastering the Voice, a unique series of masterclasses with world-famous opera star and conductor José Cura.

Participants hailing from different countries around the world perform with the orchestra a number of works from the Italian and French operatic repertoire following on an intensive week of workshops and classes delving into a number of skills. 

Cura himself is acclaimed for his unconventional and innovative concert performances in some of the most prestigious theatres. This summer, he also led the MPO in Grand Finale, a star-studded audio-visual online production featuring world-acclaimed soprano Diana Damrau which reached over 1m people online. The rapport established between himself and the orchestra will be another element for live audiences to enjoy during the Closing Concert.

The Event will take place at Teatru Astra, Victoria, Gozo, on the 30 October 2021 between 7.30pm and 8.30pm and will adhere to current health protocols. The concert is free of charge however booking is required. Reserve your place by getting in touch on [email protected]
